Vietnamese cultural heritage education for children increasingly incorporates ao dai wearing for both boys and girls, and Taskopen has developed the Boys Nam Set to make this practice accessible and practical for families and educational institutions by addressing the specific challenges of dressing children in traditional formal garments. The silk-look polyester fabric maintains the visual formality of a traditional silk ao dai while providing the machine washability, color durability, and wrinkle resistance that children’s formal wear demands. Available in traditional red and gold for Tet, navy and gold for cultural programs, and black and gold for school performance contexts. The simplified mandarin collar is 25mm high and softly interfaced — formal in appearance from the outside but comfortable for children who are sensitive to stiff collar bands. Six front buttons run down the center front placket of the coat in fabric-covered style. The coat hem falls to mid-thigh — a child-appropriate proportion that maintains the ao dai’s coat character while allowing the active movement of a child at a formal event.
